'This painting is part of a series of four rather expressive paintings inspired by my Dad, Kevin. He used these same large sheets of blotting paper as a pad to write on when doing his office work on his old pull down writing desk. He used a fountain pen as was common in those days. If you look closely you may see some of his numbers and various calculations hidden amongst my colourful marks. I like to think he would be pleased I had found a way to reuse them.'
