'This painting was very abstract but after several layers of paint and
scratchings with various implements, I could envisage a mountain side
and trees engraved into it. The shape of it reminded me of the ridge
between Wye River and Separation Creek on the Great Ocean Road at
twilight. This is when the outline of the ridge is most prominent and the
trees blend into one dark mass. There is perhaps a rain water tank as
an abstract shape at the bottom right.'
